CRYOGLOBULINS
Test CodeLAB8136
CPT Codes
82595
Preferred Specimen
1 Prewarmed clear/red tube (do not use clot activator)

Patient Preparation
Fasting at least 12 hours
Minimum Volume
1 mL (5 mL optimal)
Instructions
Warm the tube before drawing the patient. Keep warm until centrifugation.
Note: Heel warmer can be used to prewarm tube before collection. After venipuncture, heel warmer can be used to maintain warmed sample until clotted and ready for centrifugation. After centrifugation, aliquot serum into a transfer tube. Serum can remain at room temperature once removed from the cells.
