Patient Preparation
Discard first morning urine on day of collection. Note the time. Collect all urine voided during the next 24 hours. 10g of boric acid preservative should be added to container prior to the start of collection. Refrigerate the urine during entire collection.

Minimum Volume
2 mL aliquot (10 mL aliquot optimal)


Instructions
  • Mix the specimen well and measure the 24-hour volume (RECORD THE TOTAL TIME)
  • Aliquot into transfer tube
