Patient Preparation
  1. Have patient cough deeply from diaphragm and collect sputum.
  2. Recommend collecting specimens on three consecutive mornings. 


Minimum Volume
Any (2cc optimal)


Instructions
Add an equal volume of CytoLyt preservative to specimen. If preservative is not available, refrigerate specimen and transport ASAP.
