Clinical Significance
SOX-11 is a transcription factor expressed in almost all cases of mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), including the rare entity cyclin D1-negative MCL. It is not expressed in potential MCL mimics such as atypical chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), follicular lymphoma, and marginal zone lymphoma (Soldini D, et al. Am J Surg Path 38:86-93, 2014).
