Clinical Significance
The determination of allergen-specific IgE Ab is a very sensitive first-order test for allergic disease. The presence of IgE Ab to peppertree is highly predictive of the likelihood that the individual will exhibit immediate hypersensitivity upon exposure to the allergen.
