Instructions
Tumor paraffin block (formalin-fixed only) or five 4-micron unstained sections on Poly-L-Lysine or Silane coated slides. See Specimen Collection Section, Oncology. Ship at room temperature. Do not place paper labels with adhesive backing on slides. Use pencil or xylene resistant pen to write on the frosted end of the slide only. Pathology report is required.

Clinical Significance
The CD2 antigen (LFA-2) is a monomeric 45 to 58 kD glycoprotein. It is an accessory molecule important in mediating the adhesion of activated T-cells and thymocytes with antigen-presenting cells and target cells.
