Limitations
B. quintana and B. henselae as well as chlamydia species and Coxiella burnetii may cross-react and produce false-positive results.


Clinical Significance

Bartonella henselae infections have been associated with many clinical presentation, including cat scratch disease, bacillary angiomatosis, peliosis hepatitis, and bacteremia.
