Collection Instructions:

__Frozen -70: Acceptable
__Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Centers and Quest
__in-office phlebotomists do not collect respiratory
__specimens, including those from patients suspected to have
__COVID-19. Anterior nares specimens (use one swab for both
__nares) should be collected by a healthcare professional or
__by healthcare-directed on-site self-collection by using a
__round foam swab.

__Cold packs/pouches must be used if placing specimens in a
__lockbox for courier pick-up. STAT pick-up cannot be
__ordered for this test.
__
__Each COVID-19 specimen transport vial that is submitted
__should be accompanied by its own separate requisition and
__transported in its own sealed bag.
