Clinical Significance
Detects CAG triplet repeat expansion in the SCA6 gene. The
usual clinical characteristics of the spinocerebellar
ataxias are a slowly progressive incoordination of gait
that is often associated with poor coordination of hands,
speech, and eye movements.
