Transfer 1 mL aliquot into an Aptima® transfer tube (containing 3 mL STM) within 30 days of collection.
Labs performing cytology: Aliquot PerservCyt® solution before or after performance of liquid based cytology testing.

Clinical Significance
Assay is used in combination with cytology to assess the presence or absence of high-risk HPV genotypes 16, 18, and/or 45 in post-hysterectomy patients. This information, together with physician's assessment of cytology history, other risk factors, and professional guidelines, may be used to guide patient management.
