1 mL whole blood collected in an EDTA (royal-blue, lavender, pink, or tan-top) tube

Instructions
Transfer 1 mL whole blood to an Amber Transport Tube. Protect from light during collection, storage, and shipment.

Specimen should be tested for lead FIRST to avoid potential contamination problems. Use royal blue tube when also testing for lead.
