Clinical Significance
This test is intended as an aid in identifying individuals with antibodies to SARS-CoV-2. A positive result indicates an immune response to a recent or prior infection with SARS-CoV-2. This test would not be expected to detect an immune response to a spike vaccine. It is unknown for how long antibodies persist following infection or if the presence of antibodies confers protective immunity. This assay should not be used to diagnose acute SARS-CoV-2 infection.
