Limitations
Interferences may include abnormal plasma proteins, cold autoagglutinins, positive direct antiglobin test and bacteremia.
Clinical Significance
ABO type and Rh are needed to identify candidates for Rh immune globulin and to assess the risk of hemolytic disease of the newborn.
