Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Patients producing formed stools are very unlikely to have a clinically significant infection with a GI pathogen detectable by stool culture. Testing formed stools can lead to false positive results and over reporting enfections. Please submit unformed stool only, if formed stool specimens are submitted, they will be rejected.
