Preferred Specimen
Collect a Pediatric Serum Separator (SST) Capiject or SST.


Instructions
Allow serum tube to clot completely at room temperature. Centrifuge within 30 minutes of collection. Transport 1 ml serum or plasma (min 0.5 mL).

Refrigerate


Specimen Stability
After separation from cell: Ambient 4 hours; Refrigerated 5 days; Frozen 3 months.
