Preferred Specimen
Serum separator tube (SST), or Green (Lithium Heparin)


Instructions
Allow serum tube to clot completely at room temperature. Centrifuge within 30 minutes of collection. Transport 1 ml serum or plasma (min 0.5 mL).


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient 3 days; Refrigerated unacceptable; Frozen unacceptable.
