Preferred Specimen
Serum separator tube SST, or Green (Lithium Heparin)


Instructions
Allow serum tube to clot completely at room temperature. Centrifuge within 30 minutes of collection. Transport 1 ml serum or plasma (min 0.5 mL).


Transport Temperature
Remain at room temp while processing. Refrigerate for transport and long term storage.


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient 1 week; Refrigerated 1 week; Frozen 6 months.
