Preferred Specimen
Serum separator tube (SST), or Green (Lithium Heparin or Sodium Heparin)


Instructions
Allow tube to clot completely clot at room temperature. Centrifuge within 30 minutes of collection. Transport 1 ml serum or plasma (min 0.5 ml).

Refrigerate


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient 8 hours; Refrigerated 24 hours; Frozen 4 weeks.
