4 mL whole blood in Green top (Lithium Heparin)


Minimum Volume
1 mL

Heparin blood gas syringe Specimen
  • Cap syringe(s) tightly, remove any air bubbles, immediatley place on crushed ice.


Instructions
Collect without use of a tourniquet , if possible. When using a tourniquet, obtain specimen within 30 second.
Specimen must arrive within 1 hour of draw.
Transport to lab on crushed ice.
