Instructions
- Submit specimen in a screw-capped, sterile container.
- Label container (not lid) with two patient identifiers (full name, DOB or MR), specimen source, and date and time of collection.
- Maintain sterility and forward promptly.

No mold or yeast isolated at 28 days.
If positive, fungus will be identified to genus.
If positive, fungus will be identified to genus.
Clinical Significance
Identification of an isolated yeast or filamentous fungi from culture. Identification of the isolate may provide insight into the significance of the organism, its role in the disease, and its possible origin.
