Acute Hepatitis Panel, Serum

NCMC does not perform hepatitis testing on cadaver samples. 
Must collect in a dedicated tube. If ordered with other testing, please submit 2 tubes to lab.

Preferred Specimen
4.0 mL serum from SST or Red Top AND 2.0 mL plasma from purple top EDTA.

Minimum Volume
2.0 mL serum and 1 ml EDTA plasma
Note: For neonate requirements see Neonate Minimum Blood Volumes

Spin down and remove plasma from cells and serum from gel within 24 hours
