Instructions
Lupus Anticoagulant with Reflex: Plasma, Citrate Plt-Poor 2.7 mL full light blue-top (3.2% Na citrate) tube. Centrifuge (without delay). Place plasma into two plastic vials and centrifuge again. Transfer only top 2/3 of plasma (plasma must be platelet free) into 2 plastic vials (a minimum of 1.0 mL in each plastic vial). If other coagulation tests are ordered, freeze a minimum of three plastic vials. Freeze immediately. Place in a specimen bag with a frozen label applied. Cardiolipin Antibody, IgA IgG IgM: Serum (Gel Barrier) 2 mL frozen serum from a serum separator tube (SST) (1.5 mL min) Centrifuge as soon as possible after clot formation.
