Instructions
Draw specimen without a tourniquet into a chilled EDTA lavender tube. If tourniquet must be use to locate a vein, remove tourniquet and wait at least 15 seconds before ammonia specimen is obtained. Mix specimen 4-5 times and place on ice. Deliver to lab immediately.
Lab: Must be received in lab within 15 minutes of collection. Centrifuge sample, separate plasma and freeze immediately upon receipt in lab.
