If the screen is indetermant, an RPR is performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86592). If the RPR is reactive, a RPR titer and the MHA-TP is performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86593, 86780).

Instructions
Serum separator tube or plain red top tube.

Transport Container
Centrifuge the serum separator tube and transport. After clotting, the plain red top tube should be centrifuged and serum (0.5 mL) aliquoted into a standard transport tube.

Transport Temperature
Refrigerated.

Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient: 4 days; Refrigerated: 7 days; Frozen: 14 days (A maximum of two freeze thaw cycles can be used if necessary.)

Immunoassay using chemiluminescence/Flocculation
