Transport Container
Do not open the gray or red top blood tube prior to transport to the laboratory (preferred). Alternately, a serum or plasma aliquot (Min. 0.4 mL) may be sent. After centrifuging, aliquot serum or plasma immediately into a standard transport tube upon opening the tube. Minimize exposure to the air. Pediatric collection: 0.2 mL.
