Instructions
DO NOT SPIN / DO NOT REFRIGERATE If brought by courier, sample is NOT to be placed in a transport bag with a cool pack.
Specimen should be delivered to hematology lab within 3 hours so that testing can be completed within 4 hours of drawing.
To be drawn by senior phlebotomist. Must be drawn using a 21G or larger needle. Should not be first tube collected. Cannot be a difficult stick, blood must flow easily into the tube. Discard tube if there is a venous collapse and stoppage of blood flow during collection. Gently invert tube by hand 3-4 times after drawing.
