Hemolyzed or Clotted Samples, Samples do not meet the minimum draw requirements, Samples exceed maximum draw requirements, Samples with hematocrit >55% not collected with the special tube.
Testing must not be performed on patients receiving direct Xa inhibitors (Rivaroxiban, Xeralto, Apixaban) and/or thrombin inhibitor (Dabigatran, Pradaxa, argatroban, hirudin, lepirudin) therapy

Clinical Significance
Lupus anticoagulants (LA’s) are autoantibodies against negatively charged phospholipid or complexes of phospholipid with either beta-2-glycoprotein or clotting factors such as prothrombin. They occur in various conditions, especially autoimmune disease. LA’s have traditionally been detected using phospholipid responsive clotting tests, such as the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), kaolin clotting time (KCT) and DRVVT
