(Equivocal results may indicate a lack of antibody development to the Rubeola vaccine or an antibody level that has waned throughout the years. For all equivocal results re-vaccination should be considered if clinically indicated. Re-vaccination is not typically recommended more than twice for negative or equivocal titers.)

Clinical Significance
Measles (Rubeola), a member of the paramyxovirus group, is a highly communicable airborne disease. Even with the efforts of vaccination programs, the disease has not been eliminated. The detection of the Measles IgG antibody can be used to show immunity and can detect seroconversion in individuals.
