(Equivocal results may indicate a lack of antibody development to the Rubeola vaccine or an antibody level that has waned throughout the years. For all equivocal results re-vaccination should be considered if clinically indicated. Re-vaccination is not typically recommended more than twice for negative or equivocal titers.)


Clinical Significance
The detection of the VZV IgG antibody can be used to show immunological experience with the varicella-zoster virus. Positive results indicate immunity to the Varicella vaccine. To determine infections of Shingles, please refer to appropriate medical resources, including the CDC.
