175-420 mg/dL
Critical Value: <=100 mg/dL
Critical Value: <=100 mg/dL
Clinical Significance
An increase of the fibrinogen level is observed in cases of pregnancy, diabetes, inflammatory syndromes and obesity. A decrease of the fibrinogen level is observed in DIC, fibrinolysis. Furthermore, fibrinogen seems to be involved in the pathogenicity of thrombotic cardiovascular events.
