Limitations
Hematology indices are required for Hemoglobinopathy testing and must be processed within 24 hours of collection. If an add-on request is submitted and this testing had not been previously performed, the add-on request will not able to be completed.patient’s with anemia, microcytosis and erythrocytosis.

Hemoglobin A: 95.9% - 97.8% (Adult), 10% - 40% (0-30 days) Adult levels reached within 15 months
Hemoglobin F: <1% (Adult), 60% - 90% (0-30 days) Adult levels reached by 24 months
Hemoglobin A2: 2.2% - 3.2% (Adult), <1% (0-30 days) Adult levels readhed within 12 months
