Preferred Specimen
1. Specimen should be collected by a radiologist, or attending physcian. Presence of a pathologist is recommended to evaluate smears.
2. Attach a numbered red label to specimen container and forward to the lab immediately. Note: If material is suitable, a cell block will be made and microscopic sections prepared.
3. Submit a completed "Cytology Requisition Form" and forward with specimen.
