Preferred Specimen
1. Immerse brush in labeled CytoLyt fixative container.
2. If Cytolyt fixative is not available, roll brush over clear surface of at least 2 labeled glass microscopic slides. Immediately immerse slides in 95% ethanol.
3. Seal container tightly. Attach numbered red label to specimen container and forward to laboratory immediately .
4. Submit a completed "Cytology Requisition Form" and forward with specimen.
