3 tubes 1.8 mL Buff. Na Citrate, 3.2% (blue top tube)


Instructions
The tube must be filled to at least 90% of the proper level. Tube cannot be overfilled.
The coagulation tube (blue top) should be the second drawn tube following the RED top tube for chemistries. It should aslo be drawn before the EDTA or heparin tubes.


Specimen Stability
Blue Top:
Room temperature: 24 hours

Platelet-poor plasma:
Frozen (-20 C): 2 weeks

Refrigerated: Unacceptable


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Overfilled or under filled tubes should be discarded and redrawn
