Testing performed on Abbott instrumentation.
Samples with a reaction greater than or equal to the following cutoff levels yield a presumptively Positive result:
Amphetamines 1000 ng/mL
Barbiturates 200 ng/mL
Benzodiazepines 200 ng/mL
Cannabinoids (THC) 50 ng/mL
Cocaine 300 ng/mL
Opiates 300 ng/mL
PCP 25 ng/mL
Drug Screens are unconfirmed and are for medical purposes only. Call lab within 1 week if GCMS confirmation is required. If drug screen is negative, and drug/medication use is still suspected, order a blood and urine toxicology screen. The Opiates screen is primarily for detection of morphine, heroin, and codeine. Poppy seeds contain opiates. Ingestion of products containing poppy seeds can cause a positive test result at the 300ng/ml cutoff. The THC screen does not detect synthetic cannabinoid-like compounds.
