Instructions
AZ Locations only, if ordered ST or ES, call for STAT courier. Centrifuge within 4 hours of collection following the double spin process to produce platelet poor plasma. REQUIRED - Aliquot platelet poor plasma into 2 separate transport vials: 1.0 mL into one vial and 0.5 mL into a second vial. Immediately freeze vials in upright position for transportation to SQL. If other coagulation tests are ordered, freeze a minimum of three plastic vials. Place in a specimen bag with a frozen label applied.
