Specimens may be hand carried to the Lab. Tube System may be utilized if specimens are double bagged.

Nasopharyngeal or Nasal Swab collected in 1 - 3 mL of UTM/VTM transport media.
Storeroom item #4210 Universal/Viral Transport Media. UTM/VTM are available in a variety of packaging and brands but liquid media is pink.

Specimen Stability

Room Temperature for up to 2 hours
Refrigerated for up to 24 hours
