Instructions
Do not use alcoholic solution to clean the venipuncture site, you instead can use Betadyne or other non-alcohol germicidal solution prior to obtaining the blood specimen. Specimen tube should remain capped during centrifugation until before extraction starts wherein stopper is removed from tube. LAB: Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection to separate serum (or plasma). Care must be taken not to leave the sample tube open longer than necessary.

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Specimens that exceed stated stability, unlabeled/mislabeled/mismatched specimens, specimens submitted in leaking containers, aliquot, blood tube spun without its stopper, or centrifuged tubes received without its top prior to extraction.
