Call Blood Bank before collection, HHNB x45623 HHI x73111.
21 gauge minimum needle size. Use Blue Top tube to discard first 3 mls for peripheral draw. For line draws discard the first 7 mls.
All TEG samples must be delivered to lab immediately after collection and received in Blood Bank within 30 minutes from collection. DO NOT deliver samples via pneumatic tube system, MUST be HAND DELIVERED. Laboratory: Do not centrifuge. Notify Transfusion Service staff and deliver immediately to department.
