Instructions
This test is a presumptive test. A culture is automatically run any time a Fungus culture and/or wet mount are ordered on a CSF. If positive, Cryptococcal Titer is performed as a reflex order.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
CSF that is moderately to grossly bloody may result in false negative result due to high background color on test strip. Lab will notify physician of hemolysis and test will not be performed.
