Gold Top Tube
Draw 2 tubes. Tube must be FULL for possible reflex testing.

Minimum Volume

In house testing only: Whole blood: 1mL
Serum: 500 uL

Instructions

Specimens reactive for HIV 1/2 Ag/Ab 4th GEN, reflex [LAB24215] will be sent for confirmatory testing for: HIV 1 AND HIV 2 AG AND AB CONFIRMATION, SERUM [LAB24215].

Specimens reactive for Hepatitis B Surface Antigen [LAB471] will be sent for confirmatiory testing for: HEPATITIS B SURFACE AG, REFLEX (SENDOUT) [LAB2473]

Specimens reactive for Hepatitis C Ab [LAB2375] will be sent for confirmatory testing for: HEPATITIS C RNA, QUANT, NAAT [LAB2110]

Allows 2 additional days turn around time.

Source Exposure Panel is performed STAT.
All results of "Reactive" are phoned to EHS , ext. 45885 and will reflex to confirmatory testing.
