Whole blood: 800 uL (TWO full red-top microtainers).

Serum/plasma: 400 uL

Instructions

Intended Use: Diagnosis in patients presenting with history compatible with Chronic Hepatitis/moderately elevated liver enzymes. Panel includes the following performed in the Chemistry Department: Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBSG) Hepatitis C Antibody (HC) All specimens reactive for Hepatitis B Surface Antigen will be confirmed by reflex order "Hepatitis B Surface Antigen @MYO" (HBAG), at an additional charge. If indicated, Mayo Lab may additionally reflex "Hep B Surface Antigen Conf" (MYO: HBGNT, order as MWILD when performed). Allow two additional days turn around time. All specimens reactive for Hepatitis C Antibody will be confirmed by reflex order "HCV RNA,QNT Real-Time PCR @NIC" (HCPCR) at an additional charge. Allow two additional days turnaround time. LAB: If reflex testing inidcated, CLS to take sample to Reference Desk for processing for Quest (HCPCR) and Mayo (HBAG) reference testing.
