Specimen Stability
Non-preservative specimen: 2 hours at room temperature
Non-preservative specimen: 4 hours if refrigerated 2 - 8°C. Refrigerated urine should be brought to room temperature prior to analysis.
Preserved specimen [BD transport containers - yellow and red top tubes]: 12 hours (Room Temp or Refrigerated)
