Preferred Specimen
Light green top tube (lithium heparin plasma)


Minimum Volume
Whole Blood: 900 uL (two full light-green-top microtainer or two full red-top microtainers).

Serum/Plasma: 400 uL plasma


Other Acceptable Specimens
Gold top (serum separator tube) or Red Top


Instructions
No hemolysis.
LAB: Serum acceptable.
Hemolyzed specimens should not be used. Separate specimen within 4 hours of collection.

Ambient: less than 24 hours
Refrigerated: 7 days
Frozen: 2 months.
