Instructions
NASOPHARYNX
1. Gently insert the nasopharyngeal swab approximately ½ the distance to the same-side ear (3 - 5 cm).
2. Roll against inside nasal wall.
3. Immediately place swab into viral transport media.
4. Label source as Nasopharynx.
NASAL
1. Insert nares swab 1-2 cm into the nostril.
2. Rotate the swab against the inside of the nostril for 3 seconds.
3. Using the same swab, repeat for the second nostril.
4. Immediately place swab into viral transport media.
5. Label source as Nares.
