Instructions
1. Vaginal: Wipe away excessive amount of secretion or discharge from the vaginal area. Carefully insert the swab into the lower one-third part of vagina, and sample secretions from the mucosa.
2. Rectal: Carefully insert the same swab, approximately 2.5 cm beyond the anal sphincter, and gently rotate to sample anal crypts.
3. Replace the swab in its container and properly label the swab, noting the specimen source of vaginal/rectal.
