Whole blood collected in a lavender-top EDTA tube

Minimum Volume

0.5 mL

Instructions

Do not spin. Whole blood required. Mix sample thoroughly by gentle inversion 8 times to avoid clotting.
REGIONAL OFFICES: If specimen is not tested for over 12 hours, make slide within 2 hours of collection to send with specimen.
