Preferred Specimen
BAL fluid: 10-50 ml BAL fluid combined with equal volume of RPMI
Instructions
Please send specimens as soon as possible after collection. Ideally specimens should be received at NeoGenomics within 24 hours from collection for optimal sample integrity and acceptable cell viability. Refrigerate specimen. Do not freeze. Use cold pack for transport, making sure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen.
