Instructions

2 mL plasma from 1 UNOPENED CENTRIFUGED GEL BARRIER TUBE Collect blood with minimal stasis. Centrifuge with stopper in place. Do not open. Sample must be kept anaerobic until testing is completed. Submit one tube for ionized calcium testing. This sample cannot be shared. If multiple lab tests are ordered, please submit the ionized calcium test request and unopened gel barrier tube on a separate requisition.
