Clinical Significance
Elevated CRP range: Concentrations of <1 mg/dL (<0.01g/L) exclude many acute inflammatory diseases, but do not specifically exclude inflammatory processes. Elevated concentrations of < 5 mg/dL( <0.05g/lL in acute disease occur in the presence of slight to moderate inflammatory processes. Values > 5 mg/dL(>0.05g/L) indicate high and extensive inflammatory activity.
